Often stumbled across by chance Emprades Vintage and Design will surprise you with its carefully curated stock, hand picked by Pru and Emily and displayed in a beautifully restored 1870's stone building which was once a thriving jam and pickle factory. The peaceful ambience is inviting and encourages a gentle meander through 6 light filled rooms with points of interest everywhere.

Clarendon is seen by many as the gateway to the McLaren Vale Wine Region and is a picturesque alternative route to the region.

From the CBD of Adelaide take Anzac Highway toward Glenelg (A5) until it crosses Main South Road (A2). Turn left onto Main South Road and travel south to Darlington until the intersection of South Road and Flagstaff Road. Turn left onto Flagstaff Road following it to the top of the escarpment where you will find a large roundabout featuring a central flagpole bearing an Australian flag. Continue straight ahead where the road becomes Happy Valley Drive, flanking the eastern side of the Happy Valley Reservoir. At the end of Happy Valley Drive turn left at a roundabout (roundabout #4) onto Chandlers Hill Road. Follow Chandlers Hill Road to the top of the hill and turn right onto Grants Gully Road. Follow Grants Gully Road down the hill into Clarendon.

Large green and white highways direction signs labelled "Clarendon" are posted at all the major intersections from Main South Road, so you can find your way relying on these alone if you wish.

To continue to McLaren Vale, drive further south through the towns of Kangarilla and McLaren Flat enjoying the lovely rural scenery and various wineries along the way.
