Music and Pop-Up DJ Events in the McLaren Vale Wine Region

Kick back, relax and enjoy music among the McLaren Vale vines when restrictions ease and we can celebrate when the time is right, by the beach or on a lazy Sunday afternoon. Keep an eye out for quirky pop up and DJ events too…

The region has you covered with a variety of events and afternoon weekend sessions to suit any music lover. Leconfield’s popular A Day On the GreenCoriole’s Here’s to Now festival and the Port Noarlunga Deep South Blues Festival attract large crowds and offer national and international acts.

Laneway Love is a new local favourite, held in the laneway between Maxwells Grocery and Home Grain Bakery, in the quaint Aldinga village. Other local events like Fleurieu Fringe and Friday’s After Five in summer, attract local musicians while you enjoy the vibrant community atmosphere.

Willunga’s Hither & Yon hold their popular Cellar Door Porch Sessions over the winter months, with acoustic music, food and wine all nestled into their cosy cellar door by the roaring fire. The Groove Garden is a community affair offering live music every Sunday at the Singing Gallery in McLaren Vale. A number of local wineries such as Penny’s HillGemtreeWoodstock and Maxwells also offer Sunday sessions and occasional live music throughout the year.

There are a host of great events held throughout the region – find out more with our calendar of events.

Pop-up events have been making their way into the events scene in the region in the last few years, all hugely popular and achieving sellout crowds.

SC Pannell Wines hosted internationally acclaimed Carl Cox and De La Soul and the end of last summer saw the Star of Greece hold Champagne Paradise – a collaboration with wine writer Nick Stock and Surahn Sidhu – a DJ and producer. Food, bubbles and gorgeous views, accompanied by a collection of celebrated DJs and musicians – what more could you want? Both venues plan to hold similar events in the future, as well as Coriole with Here’s to Now.

While artists and venues are usually announced just before the event, it makes for an exciting lead-up – but blink and you’ll miss them!
