Overview

Featuring innovative ecologically-mindful design, breathtaking sea views of Gulf St. Vincent and a vibrant ocean-inspired menu, Pearl Aldinga Beach takes dining on the Fleurieu to a new level.

Nestled into the dunes adjacent to the Aldinga Beach boat ramp and made from beautiful ‘found’ timbers sourced from all over Adelaide – including the old Her Majesty’s Theatre - Pearl is located just 50 minutes from the city and a stone’s throw from the celebrated McLaren Vale wine region.

Inspired by Mediterranean cuisine, head chef Jules brings his “obsession” for fish and fire to Pearl, having built a stunning open plan kitchen and a “beast” of a custom-made charcoal grill, in the service of his dynamic, sustainably-sourced seafood menu.

“We choose fish that will work well across the board”, he says. “We try to highlight seafood that isn't always seen on menus - we like to use the ‘underdog’. It’s about stripping back and being as simple as possible, to let the fish do the talking”.

Inside, Pearl is stylish, with a fun, thriving kitchen and a killer seasonal menu. Outside, it’s a kiosk with great coffee and inviting takeaway fare. Perched on the edge of a shimmering sandy coastline, and flanked by a rolling green lawn, it has become a hub for locals and tourists alike.

Reflecting its ocean climes, Pearl changes everyday... you’d be hard-pressed to find a more unique and welcoming restaurant, anywhere.
