Experiences at Red Poles

Red Poles is a restaurant, art gallery and B&B in McLaren Vale with an ambient setting amongst vineyards, lawns and gardens and bushland. A quaint cocktail bar with a large outdoor deck complete the picture. Enjoy breakfast or lunch on the lawns under the shady trees or relax on the verandahs - suitable whatever the weather. Several outdoor fire pits make outdoor winter dining enjoyable on a sunny wintry day! Stay overnight in one of three B&B rooms or stay a few days and explore the region. Live music features every weekend.

Red Poles offers a range of experiences including Shaken and Stirred which includes a cocktail lesson and a 3 course lunch and High Tea which includes a mix of sweet and savoury items and a glass of bubbly. Red Poles also offers a 5 course Feed Me menu and you can choose just the food option or add wines to match each course.

You can even hire Ebikes and enjoy a self guided tour which includes a brekkie to start the day at Red Poles and a cocktail when you return. You can explore the region. Hire them for 2 days and stay in one of our B&B's!

High Tea Experiences

Enjoy High Tea experiences fit for a king or queen! Forget the standard scones and sandwiches and gather for a High Tea like no other. From savoury to sweet, salty to spicy, our magical creations are sure to delight all your senses! Tiered platters of 'deliciousness' to be enjoyed with a glass of bubbles, a sip or two of 'gin tea' and add a little more decadence with a cocktail to complete your experience

Option 1: $40 a head includes tea/coffee

'The Enchanted Teapot' High tea includes a glass of bubbles with a selection of:

Moroccan spiced chicken skewers, finger sandwiches, Mini carrot rosti, Lemon curd tartlets, Coconut mousse filled strawberries, Scones

Option 2: $55 a head includes tea/coffee

'The Ultimate Teacup Escape' High Tea includes a pot of 'gin tea' with a selection of:

Prawn cocktail cups, Pork belly bites, Lamb & rocket pesto buschettas

Finger sandwiches, Scones, Lemon curd tartlets, Macaroons

Option 3: $85 a head includes tea/coffee

'Tipsy' High Tea includes a pot of 'gin tea' plus two cocktails per person with the same menu as option 2 plus a cheese board

A Harley Feast

Start off at Red Poles in McLaren Vale and ride through world renowned vineyards as you head towards the Willunga ranges. Power up the Tour Down Under course in reverse on Penny’s Hill into The Range and enjoy some twists and turns and on through pristine bush lands along the top of the hill before heading back down towards the coast. Every kilometre is as picturesque as the next and the descent from the hills provides you with some of the most stunning views on offer in the Fleurieu Peninsula. Within minutes you will be travelling along the esplanade of the coastline you just viewed from the top of the hills with nothing between you and the ocean except beautiful silver sands.

Time for a ‘Harley highball’! Relax with cocktail in hand and begin your 3 course lunch at Red Poles. Fantastic local produce with wines to match!

'Feed Me' Experience

Lunch at Red Poles in McLaren Vale and enjoy a five-course lunch selected by head chef Travis Jeremiah from their seasonal menus. Red Poles can offer both vegetarian and vegan options for the Feed Me menu.

Enjoy with your choice of beverages or they will select wines to accompany each course. Relax on their verandahs or the lawns depending on the weather.

Journey into their onsite art gallery between courses and enjoy artworks in the current exhibition or venture upstairs on the mezzanine or the art display cabinets in the front cafe area to see artworks at Red Poles on consignment.

You may even choose to stay in one of Red Poles B&Bs, or make a weekend of your experience.

The 5 course Feed Me menu with food only is $75 per person and with matched wines included is $125 per person

Cocktail Experience 'Shaken and Stirred'

Book yourself a cocktail experience called Shaken and Stirred and learn to make some including a three-course lunch!

Or you can order a cocktail of your choice from the wide selection of their drinks list and relax on the lawns or verandahs.

Large groups are welcome and can enjoy cocktail flights or individual cocktails. There is the opportunity to enjoy your cocktail with some food from their seasonal menu and can be simply a bowl of olives or damper or bruschetta or a full meal - there are many options from which to choose.

Self-Guided eBike Experience

Grab your partner or gather your friends for an enchanting self-guided e-bike tour through the picturesque McLaren Vale wine region! Embark on a delightful adventure at your own leisurely pace!

Collect your bike at Red Poles. Your tour package includes a helmet, lock, and a convenient basket/carry bag for your belongings and purchases along the way!

Red Poles has no less than 12 wineries within 2 km distance and also has an onsite restaurant, cocktail bar and art gallery so the perfect place to start your day and then unwind after a great day on the bikes!

Red Poles even has three B&B rooms if you want to stay overnight or a short stay for a few days.
