Awarded Brand Innovator of the year in 2018 by Icons of Whisky, the tasting room offers a Barley to Bottle experience hosted in the distillery where you are seated next to the large copper stills and talked through the process of whisky making. McLaren Vale Distillery whiskies are often finished in Muscat and Port casks and also offered on-site are fortified wine tastings.
Located on the northern end of McLaren Vale, with world-class views overlooking undulating vineyards, McLaren Vale Distillery is the perfect backdrop to enjoy unique tasting experiences and play host to special events and weddings.
Walk-in tasting experiences will be hosted if space allows, however the tasting room is quite small, so it's recommended to pre-book so as not to miss out.

The Gin & Liqueur Tasting at McLaren Vale Distillery includes four distinct spirits that showcase different botanical profiles.
They charge a non-redeemable $20 per person to taste our selection, which includes Mischief Brew as well as Fever Tree mixers and garnishes.

One person can make a whisky, but it takes an entire community to build a legacy. The idea was to do more than make a great Australian whisky.
McLaren Vale Distillery wanted to create a new collaborative concept and add another rich layer to the heritage and tradition of one of the nation's most loved wine regions.
Their home and heart is among the coastal vineyards, but we use the best wine and fortified casks from wineries all over Australia to age their whisky in, creating unique spirits of true provenance.
When visiting McLaren Vale Distillery, you can experience three of their whiskies, including blended and single cask products to taste though at your table. This is not a hosted tasting.

Let The McLaren Vale Distillery team guide you through a whisky tasting, focusing on collaborative, one-off releases. Begin with a new-make spirit and learn about the process from barley to bottle. You will taste a selection of single malt blended and single cask whiskies, each with their own distinctive story and style, and finish with one of our fortified wines, as well as the added indulgence of two chocolate truffles.
