Overview
ASO Relaxed Concert: This concert is for children with additional needs and their families
This concert has been carefully developed to provide a sensory-friendly environment for families of children with a range of sensory, communication and learning needs.
This concert will be Auslan interpreted for d/Deaf audience members.
This spirited performance invites children to experience the magic of storytelling through sound. Children will meet characters voiced by a different instrument: the bird flutters with the flute, the duck waddles to the oboe, the cat slinks with the clarinet, and the bassoon rumbles as Grandpa. When the shadowy wolf prowls close by, the horns send a shiver through the forest.
Narrated by acclaimed actor and singer Justine Clarke, also well known to families for her beloved children's music and for delighting audiences on Play School – expect colourful characters, plenty of laughter and a few mischievous surprises as music and storytelling combine onstage. This beloved work offers a magical first step into the world of orchestral music.
