Overview
Experience the most thrilling day of the Adelaide Equestrian Festival for the Cross Country phase, when world-class horses and riders thunder across the Adelaide Park Lands in a spectacular display of speed, skill and bravery.
On Saturday, the Cross Country phase brings the Park Lands to life as elite international riders and horses gallop over challenging obstacles set against the unique back drop of Adelaide's city centre.
Families are encouraged to picnic, relax in the park, and follow the action as it unfolds across the course, enjoying an unforgettable day outdoors while witnessing one of the most demanding disciplines in elite sport.
Beyond the competition, the Festival offers a vibrant, family-friendly atmosphere with more than 50 retail and lifestyle stalls, a Pop Up Market, South Australian street food, premium beverages, and the ATCO Kids Corral, a free interactive space featuring arts and crafts, outdoor games and face painting.
As the sun sets, the excitement continues with Tom Curtain's Katherine Outback Experience at the Tom Curtain Stage in Victoria Park. This two-hour interactive show brings together live music, horses, working dogs and hands-on fun for kids — the perfect way to end an action-packed day for the whole family.
Cross Country Day at the Adelaide Equestrian Festival is an unforgettable celebration of sport, nature and family entertainment in the heart of the city.
