On and under a huge trampoline, the artists pursue the dream of Icarus and the human capacity to persist, to surpass oneself and to reinvent. Established in Toulon in 2011 by Damien Droin, contemporary circus company Hors Surface champions a new, diverse circus style with the highest acrobatic standards producing extraordinary spectacles that embrace a poetic visual language which blur the boundaries between dance, high-level sport and circus in a celebration of the euphoria of acrobatics.
Le poids des Nuages (The Weight of Clouds) explores the bond between two men as they traverse worlds and borders, both real and imaginary, questioning the concepts of individualism, trust and ambition. HOME is a solo piece performed with trampoline and tightrope; a poetic, physical, visual and musical story about the opposing forces within us.
