Asia Street Festival – By the Sea returns to Glenelg Foreshore!
For 10 summer-filled days, the foreshore transforms into a tropical street-food village inspired by Asia's coastal night markets, powered by local Asian food vendors and performing-arts groups.
The festival blends coastal market charm with bold Asian street-food favourites. Expect smoky BBQ grills, sizzling seafood, handmade dumplings, wok-tossed noodles, refreshing sugarcane juice, creamy coconut ice cream and more — all crafted fresh by local vendors.
For the first time, Lunar New Year arrives on the coast — bringing lion dance blessings, lion drum processions across the festival village, and traditional firecracker celebration moments to welcome fortune, prosperity and new beginnings. A coastal Asian-village themed cultural photo booth adds a new standout attraction, offering visitors unforgettable keepsake photos framed by market-by-the-sea aesthetics.
The festival delivers a continuous program of free cultural activities and live performances from day to night, celebrating community, family connection, and the shared joy of food and culture. Designed for all ages, it welcomes families, food explorers, culture seekers and summer adventurers.
