Silver Sessions at Fleurieu Arthouse

Join artisan silversmith Jasmine Swales of Swales Silver for a full-day hands-on jewellery-making experience at Fleurieu Arthouse in McLaren Vale.

In this Silver Session, you'll learn traditional silversmithing techniques while creating your own unique sterling silver jewellery. Start by making a hand-formed silver ring, then learn how to set a piece of sea glass, beach pebble or other cabochon into a handmade silver bezel. Your finished setting can become a pendant or be incorporated into your ring.

Jasmine will guide you through each stage of the process, including ring forming, soldering, sawing, bezel setting, burnishing and polishing. No previous jewellery-making experience is required.

All materials are provided, including sterling silver, and you'll take home your finished piece.

Lunch is included, with dietary requirements catered for by request.

Silver Sessions are relaxed, creative and hands-on, giving you the opportunity to slow down, learn something new and create a piece of jewellery that is completely your own.

Suitable for adults and older children with good coordination and patience. Please wear closed shoes, tie back long hair and bring reading glasses if required.
