Overview
Willunga Farmers Market was the first farmers market to be established in South Australia and is now considered one of the best.
Willunga Farmers Market in Willunga on the Fleurieu Peninsula is South Australia's first farmers market, bringing together local growers, producers and the community every Saturday morning, year-round.
The Market offers an authentic regional food experience where visitors can meet the people who grow, raise, catch and make their food. Stalls feature fresh seasonal produce, artisan foods and handcrafted goods sourced from across the Fleurieu Peninsula and surrounding regions. It has been recognised as Most Outstanding Farmers Market at the Delicious Produce Awards in 2019 and 2021, and is a Hall of Fame inductee in the SA Tourism Awards for Food Excellence.
More than a place to shop, the market is a weekly community gathering. Visitors can enjoy live music, cooking demonstrations, seasonal events and family-friendly activities that celebrate food, farming and connection. Friendly volunteers, many local residents, help create its welcoming atmosphere.
Located in the heart of Willunga's historic township, the Market is the perfect starting point to explore heritage streetscapes, galleries, cafés, wineries and nearby attractions. Visitors can easily turn their visit into a day out discovering the region.
With free entry, free parking and a strong community spirit, Willunga Farmers Market offers a genuine connection to local food, local people and the Fleurieu way of life.
