Overview
Botanical Brunch Bar is a four-course sensory brunch experience set in a working edible flower garden in Fleurieu Peninsula. A one-off event as part of the 2026 Fleurieu Food Festival program.
Co-hosted by horticulturalist Rachel McMillan of McMillan & Drew and tasting coach Briony Liebich of Flavour Logic, this intimate winter morning invites guests to slow down, connect with the land, and taste the Fleurieu at its seasonal best.
The experience begins with a guided tour of the garden, walking among edible flowers, native bush foods, and foraged ingredients that will appear on the menu. Guests then move into The Conservatory for brunch and botanical drinks where hosts share insights into the flavours, textures, and stories behind each ingredient. The food menu features local bread with native spiced dukkah and olive oil, wild mushrooms, foraged greens pesto with pasta, and a quince dessert. The drinks menu includes herbal tea, mead, wine, gin, and whisky.
Be guided by Briony Liebich's sensory expertise and Rachel McMillan's 25 years of horticultural knowledge. Together they bring flavour, story, and place to every plate and glass.
This is more than a brunch. It is a skills-based tasting experience designed to deepen your connection to food, flavour, and the South Australian landscape.
